Manchester City went on rampage at Etihad stadium on Sunday evening when it hosted Manchester United in a week eight Premier league game. The result was a scandalous scoreline- 6-3!
The game which has all the trappings of the star match of week eight, saw the Pep Guardiola tutored side registered four unreplied goals within a spate of forty five minutes of the first half.
However, despite the scandalous scoreline, Manchester City, unfortunately, is not invincible. The club can score goals but can’t defend goals.
For Manchester United to be able to pull three goals back despite being four goals down in the first half is a pointer that Pep Guardiola still have lots of work to do going forward.
Erling Haarland and Phil Foden may be good at scoring hat tricks, but if the defence line is porous as seen in the game, a good coach can capitalise on such weakness to inflict telling nightmare.
Had it been The Red Devils had more time late in the game, the team could possibly have caught up with the host on the scoreline.
