Alejandro Garnacho scored a dramatic 93rd-minute winner for Manchester United against Fulham and pulled out Lionel Messi’s iconic goal celebration.
Erik ten Hag brought on Garnacho with his team needing a goal after Dan James cancelled out Christian Eriksen’s opener in the first half.
And the 18-year-old sensation delivered just that as he bagged a stunning goal deep, deep into injury time.
The Argentinean starlet exchanged a few passes with Eriksen, who pierced a inviting ball into the path of the forward.
The youngster raced onto the ball and poked it past Bernd Leno to secure all three league points right at the death.
Ten Hag looked on in delight as he couldn’t contain his excitement on the touchline.
During his celebration, Garnacho performed Messi’s gesture against Real Madrid as he held up his shirt in front of the travelling Man United supporters at Craven Cottage.
Fans online loved Garnacho’s goal against Fulham and believe he’s a superstar in the making.
One Twitter user wrote: “Alejandro Garnacho is Manchester United’s new star-boy.”
A second tweeted: “This kid is something else.”
A third boldly claimed: “He’ll be one of the best players in the world in 3 years mark my word.”
Bruno Fernandes heaped praise on Garnacho following the 2-1 victory.
“He [Garnacho] has a lot of talent and his work rate with the talent makes a big difference,” he told Sky Sports. “It’s not the first time he makes a big impact for us. We are really happy for him and know he can give us goals, assists and prove the joy of football.
“I think everyone is seeing signs that [Garnacho can go all the way]. Not because of his goals and assists but the way he comes into the game. Nobody likes to be on the bench so the attitude he has when he comes off has been fantastic.”
